COPD can have a significant impact on the person’s employment which means that this can cause financial issues. Work-loss is not always just due to their COPD as these patients tend to have other co-morbidities. Many feel that they are unable to work or at least not the hours that they used to and find it easier to work just a few days a week instead. Others accept early retirement.
